Long Life

The day started as usual for him. Nothing new, nothing welcoming. Everything was just the way he was used to. Went to the bathroom, a routine he enjoyed till a few months back. Now it has become a necessity. Brewed a hot cup of coffee, took the newspaper and ran thru the headlines.

That’s it. As expected the news was there; this time it was a teenager who went for buying fish. The photo of his brand new bike was there in the inner page. A scoop of metal pieces for the JCB. Threw the paper towards the paper corner and enjoyed a sip of water, a soothing effect on his  stomach.

As the water passed through his pipe he thought; eh??? No hangover? How come? Had so much last night, still….. liver???????? A scary thought for a few minutes. As the moment passed he patted himself and said, “ Not yet reached the limit, there is still time and a long way to go!”

There is a deep and cosmological connection between my birth, my parent's decision to name me what they did, my profession and my education. This brings me to the conclusion that fate is predetermined and like in Hindu mythology, is written by Brahma when someone is born. Example: My name is unique. I did my grads in Psychology. I then did my masters in HR (offshoot of following all the psychos). I then did the ultimate decision of joining an MNC in ............. beat it, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT. So, I have the concept 'MAD' in my name, my education, my choice of career and all the milestone decisions of my life. Now, is it predetermined or what ? :-D
